I am a very health oriented twenty eight year old man who loves to exercise and to perform outdoor activities. This last weekend I went rock climbing with a couple of friends to the mountains which are located east of the town where I live. The first day we had a lot of fun, we climbed one of the rocks which we had set out for and we did it in a record time of six hours, the next day however a completely different story was. Unfortunately I pulled one of my shoulder blades and injured it so bad that I passed out from the pain and had to be carried by my friends to the nearest hospital. I ruined their rock climbing expedition that day, since they stayed with me in the hospital until night fall.
The doctor who attended me prescribed a medication called Ultram to lower the acute and terrible pain that I was in. He told me that Ultram is expensive because it is a brand name medication and that I should buy its generic counterpart, Tramadol, if I wanted less expensive medication. He made sure to tell me that I should never take Ultram or Tramadol if I had ever suffered from any kind of addiction such as drug use or alcoholism since such medication could create addiction on predisposed personalities and that I should never take more than the one hundred milligram dosage per day which he would prescribe. As I have never suffered from any addictions the doctor told me that I was a good candidate to take either Ultram or Tramadol so lower the pain created by the injury of my left shoulder blade, to which I responded that I would rather buy the generic medication instead of the brand name medication and save a few dollars.
